ADULT CLASSES

Adult Acting • Scene Study & Auditioning Techniques
Students will leave this class with skills to tackle any role they may encounter. The course will explore core concepts in understanding the actor’s process. Scene study will incorporate script analysis and research, along with characterization, to assist students in preparing for any role. Students will also work on auditioning techniques.

Adult Improv
This class will review improv basics and lay a foundation for future growth and study. Students will explore both short form and long form improv. This class has a revolving curriculum, so returning students will continue to be challenged.

YOUTH CLASSES

Ages 7-9
Acting Out!

Students will stimulate their imaginations with theatre games and exercises that build self confidence and encourage the creative mind. Children’s literature will serve as a foundation for introducing character and analysis. This class has a rotating curriculum, so returning students will continue to be challenged.

Ages 8-12

This class will explore vocal technique, choreography and acting skills. All skills needed to make you a “triple threat” will be integrated. This class has a revolving curriculum, so returning students will
continue to be challenged.
Thursdays
4:30-6:00 pm • $220

 

Ages 10-12
Performance Skills

Students will use improv, scene work, vocal techniques and explore ensemble-based movement to create realistic acting within an ensemble structure. This class has a rotating curriculum, so returning students will continue to be challenged.
Mondays

TEEN CLASSES

Ages 13-17
*NEW*   Teen Improv Performance Ensemble
   *NEW*
With our new Stage2 space, we have more performance opportunities for our students! This class is by instructor (Caitlyn Joy) approval only and may only be taken by students with at least one previous TES improv class. This performance ensemble will be expanded to include our acting and musical theatre students in the future. Please email caitlynactorjoy@gmail.com for permission to register.  Students must commit to attend all classes and performances. Performance dates will be agreed upon by the instructor and class.

Ages 13-17
Teen Improv

An hour of short and long form improv games and scenes that encourage on-the-spot thinking, creativity and fun! This semester we will also be delving into various other forms of improvisational-based creation.
If you are enrolling for both teen improv and teen acting, please choose the package when checking out for a  savings.
