The fur flies (as well as some household objects) as three sisters reunite to contend with their aging mother, a lifelong resident of Independence, Iowa.  As each daughter tries to make peace with her mother's eccentric and demanding behavior, they find that independence comes at a cost.  Can the mother handle her independence?  Should the daughters give theirs up to care for her?  There are no easy answers in this moving comedy, which features an all-female cast.
