by Deborah Brevoort
The themes of love and reconciliation abound in Deborah Brevoort's award-winning play that is based on true stories associated with the 1988 crash of the ill fated Pan Am 103, which killed 258 passengers in Lockerbie, Scotland. The play, set seven years later, on the weekend of a memorial service, dramatizes the efforts of the village women to obtain, wash and return to family members, the clothing recovered from victims of the disaster. Written in the structure of a Greek tragedy, Brevoort;s play is both powerful and redeeming.
