The Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever! opened this past weekend to a full house and garnered an enthusiastic, 5-star review from critic Mike Spain of DC Metro Theater Arts and an equally excited boost from Charlie Smith of Want2Dish.

This week, we bring you behind-the-scenes footage from the original cast recording session for the music of Young Olympians.  Here, Hercules (Francis Mwale) and Jason (Joe Jalette) make fun of Perseus (Thom Huenger*) while Andromeda (Caitlyn Joy*) defends him:

One of the most refreshing things about this show is how much fun the cast is having with it.  Their onstage energy definitely seeps into the recording session.  Here, Francis Mwale and Joe Jalette record an exchange where Hercules and Jason “bro out” a bit:

The Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever! runs Saturdays at 2pm through April 21st and includes two Sunday performances at 2pm on April 15th & April 22nd.  Tickets are available online or by calling the MET box office at 301-694-4744.  Our final performance on April 22nd  is already sold out, so get your tickets while you can!
