The safety of our students and teaching artists is our highest priority. In preparation for a safe in person summer theatre experience we will be following up to date state and local guidelines regarding Covid-19. We are also carefully preparing our space and curriculum, taking into consideration adjustments that may be needed to assure the health and safety of our campers and staff. We will modify, adapt or revise these guidelines as we receive new information from state and local agencies.
- Health Screening: Parents will need to confirm that the student or no one in their household has exhibited symptoms of Covid-19 or been in contact with persons with Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
- Promoting Behaviors that Reduce Spread including staying home when appropriate, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette, and having masks available for those who request.
- Masks will be optional and used at the discretion of each staff member and camper.
- Individuals returning from isolation will also be required to wear face coverings from the sixth through the 10th day after their symptoms first appeared.
- Signs and messages of proper and safe procedures will be posted throughout the camp space.
- We will maintain Healthy Environments through cleaning and disinfection, discouraging shared objects, ensure ventilation systems operate properly, modifying layouts and utilizing barriers & physical guides.
- Access to MET Covid Captain who will be responsible for responding to COVID-19 concerns.
- Have campers bring their own meals, and eat with social distancing recommendations or with their smaller group, instead of in a large group to ensure the safety of children with food allergies.
- Trained staff on all safety protocols
- All campers will go through Camp Safety Orientation at beginning of each session.
