Changes to COVID Policy
Updated May 18, 2022

PROOF OF VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE TEST UPDATE

Beginning Friday, March 11, The Theater District Collaborative (The Weinberg Center for the Arts, New Spire Spire Arts and Maryland Ensemble Theatre) will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test for entry into our venues.

MASK POLICY UPDATE

As of 5/18/22: Due to the uptick in positivity rates in Frederick County, MET is necessitating all patrons who attend performances to mask the entirety of the time they are in either our Mainstage or Stage 2 theater spaces. No food or drink will be allowed in the theaters at this time. Patrons may remain unmasked and enjoy concessions in our lobby area if they choose. We thank you for your continued support and observance as we continue to “pivot” around COVID-19.

CONCESSIONS UPDATE

MET’s concessions booth will be open for Comedy Night and Mainstage performances, however, food/drinks are not permitted in the theatre; patrons may consume in our lounge area before the performance and during intermission. MET is not offering concessions for FUNCompany performances at this time.

The vaccination and mask requirements are subject to change. We are actively monitoring conditions and recommendations from national state, local and CDC officials and will continue to update our policies as circumstances require.

TICKET POLICY

If any patron does not feel safe with the guidelines when their event approaches, we will gladly refund their ticket purchase up to 48 hours before an event. For those patrons who purchased tickets prior to the implementation of this policy, if this negatively impacts your decision to attend, full ticket refunds are available. Please email our Audience Services Manager (abaker@marylandensemble.org) or contact the box office at 301-694-4744.
