Fun Camp 2021

Although there are still uncertainties related to in person learning we are hoping to be back in our space and offering our wildly popular summer theatre camp: FUNCamp 2021. The safety of our campers, staff and artists is of the utmost importance to us and we are putting procedures in place to assure that your young performers will be in good hands at MET. In preparation for a safe in person summer theatre experience we will be following up to date state and local guidelines regarding Covid-19. We are also carefully preparing our space and curriculum, taking into consideration adjustments that may be needed to assure the health and safety of our campers and staff including:

  • Lowest Risk: Small groups of campers stay together all day, each day. Campers remain at least 6 feet apart and do not share objects. Outdoor activities when permitted. All campers are from the local geographic area (e.g., city, town, county, community)
  • Promoting Behaviors that Reduce Spread including staying home when appropriate, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette, teaching and reinforcing the use of masks, adequate supplies available
  • Masks will be worn at all times except when eating meals. Masking requirements may change for outdoor activity based on public guidelines, MET Covid protocols and full class approval.
  • Signs and messages of proper and safe procedures
  • Maintaining Healthy Environments through cleaning and disinfection, discouraging shared objects, ensure ventilation systems operate properly, modifying layouts and utilizing barriers & physical guides.
  • Access to MET Covid Captain who will be responsible for responding to COVID-19 concerns.
  • Have campers bring their own meals, and eat in separate areas or with their smaller group, instead of in a large group to ensure the safety of children with food allergies. Lunch will be outdoors when possible
  • Trained staff on all safety protocols
  • All campers will go through Camp Safety Orientation at beginning of each session.

Due to number limitations and to ensure safety our registrations this summer will be limited to 12 participants per session. Once registration is open you are encouraged to do so early to secure your spot!
