APPRENTICE PROGRAM

The MET apprenticeship is an opportunity for high school and college-aged students to participate and train in ensemble-based theatre. We have a season term that runs from September 1st – July 1st. As well as half terms in the Fall (Sept 1st – Feb 1st) and Spring (Feb 1st – July 1st.) It requires a total of 200 hours for the season term or 100 hours for a half-term. Students can receive high school or college credit as an internship for these hours.

The program is based around selecting a focus of either: Performance & Directing, Stage Management, or Design. Apprentices gain hands-on experience in their focus area as well as participate in workshops of all theatre fields, perform front of house duties, attend productions, assist with work calls, and more!

The full requirements, responsibilities, and benefits of the program are outlined in the Apprentice Policy. Contact Shayden Jamison (he/him) for more information sjamison@marylandensemble.org.
