Maryland Ensemble Theatre has three educational programs.

The Ensemble School is MET’s series of evening classes for ages 7 to adult. We offer classes in acting and improvisation beginning in September and February. Each class runs once weekly for 12 weeks.

Since 1995 The Ensemble School has been providing the Frederick community quality, process-based theatre classes for children and adults. Our staff of professional theatre artists is committed to the development of the actor’s whole instrument – mind, body and spirit.

MET offers summer camps all summer long to students ages 7 to 16. Each camp lasts 2 weeks. Students spend the first week on workshops in acting, design, playwriting, makeup and costuming. The second week of camp is spent rehearsing for a play to be performed the last day of camp for family and friends.

Leave the details of the school play to us. We will provide a director and adaptation of children’s literature, 30-60 minutes in length. Maryland Ensemble Theatre  artists will help kids explore the fun and excitement that goes hand-in-hand with creating live theatre. We strive to teach kids how to find the best in themselves, then to share it. Choose from the following musical production options.
